Takazuri Ltd (“we,” “our,” or “us”) values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use our website and Climatile estimator (the “Services”). It is written to meet the standards of Kenya's Data Protection Act, 2019, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and, for visitors from the United States, the disclosure expectations of state privacy laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act.

2. What we collect

The Services are built to ask for only what's needed to respond to you. Through quote requests and contact forms on the website and in the Climatle Estimator , we collect:

  • Name

  • Email address

  • Phone number

We do not currently collect payment details, precise property location, or website analytics/cookie data through the Services.

3. Why we use it, and on what basis

We use the personal data above to:

  • Respond to quote requests generated through the Climatile Estimator

  • Follow up on enquiries submitted through website contact forms

  • Coordinate installation or fulfilment with the installer or partner relevant to your enquiry

  • Send you information you've asked for about Climatile products and pricing

  • If signed-up to our newsltter --- may periodically send promotional email about new products, special offers or other information which we think you may find interesting using the email address which you have provided. - and you will always have the ability to opt out.​

Under the GDPR and Kenya's Data Protection Act, we rely on: your consent when you submit a form; performance of a contract (or steps taken at your request before entering one) when responding to a quote; and our legitimate interests in running and improving the Services, balanced against your rights.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for third-party advertising purposes.

We may share personal data with a limited set of third parties who help us deliver the Services, including customer support tools, and analytics providers. These parties only receive the data needed to do their job for us, and are bound by confidentiality and data protection obligations.

Regulatory Authorities: If required by law or court order under the Kenyan Data Protection Act or other applicable regulations.

5. International data transfers

Because our group includes an EU holding company and some of the tools listed in Section 4 may be based outside Kenya, personal data may be transferred across borders, including to the EU, the UK, or the United States. Where this happens, we rely on the transferring party's data protection framework — such as EU Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent safeguard recognised under Kenya's Data Protection Act — to keep your data protected wherever it is processed.

6. How we keep it

Your data is stored securely on servers located in trusted data centers. We implement encryption, access controls, and regular security reviews to protect your information from unauthorized access or misuse.

We retain your information only as long as necessary to provide our services, comply with legal obligations, or resolve disputes. When data is no longer needed, it is securely deleted or anonymized.

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you

  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data

  • Request deletion of your data

  • Object to, or ask us to restrict, certain processing

  • Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent

  • Receive a copy of your data in a portable format

  • Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

In Kenya, the supervisory authority is the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC). In the EU, you can complain to your local data protection authority. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using info@takazuri.com

9. Cookies and tracking

The Services do not currently use analytics or advertising cookies. If we introduce them in future we will update this Policy and, where required, ask for your consent first.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to keep data protection proportionate to the sensitivity of what we hold.

11. Children's privacy

Our services are not intended for persons under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.

12. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy as the Services, our partners, or the law change. We'll post the revised version here with an updated effective date, and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to let you know.
